CONGRATULATIONS to Derby fan S Nightingale for making the worst prediction of the year (Sports Letters, February 6).
Commenting on the following day's Derby v Rovers FA Cup tie he said: "Roll on tomorrow's replay when I shall enjoy ramming a large slice of humble pie down the throats of all those whingeing, excuse-making Rovers fans."
Well, Mr Nightingale can keep his humble pie and hope he enjoys eating it! Maybe he will next predict that Derby will not be relegated.
