RAMSBOTTOM paid the price for not taking advantage of their chances as Newcastle came from behind to book their place in the next round of the Worthington Challenge Cup.
Ramsbottom took the lead three minutes before the break when Darren Bowman and Danny Goodall combined down the left to set up Chris Willcock with a simple chance.
Willcock spurned a chance a few minutes later and the same player should have scored after the break but was denied by the Newcastle keeper.
Newcastle drew level on 55 minutes when Dean Cunningham scored with a simple header.
And three minutes later they went in front when Neil Pestridge scored with a low shot.
