AROUND 300 Labour party members gave a warm welcome to trade and industry secretary Stephen Byers.
Mr Byers was in Prestwich to attend a fund-raising dinner at the Longfield Suite attended by party loyalists from both Bury North and South.
He is pictured (right) talking to Bury North MP David Chaytor (left) and Bury South MP Ivan Lewis during the event.
Mr Byers was introduced by Bury South MP Ivan Lewis, who works as Parliamentary private secretary to Mr Byers.
The Bury South MP said last Thursday's (Feb 8) event was a great success.
