LEIGH RMI chairman Chris Healey has vowed to dramatically improve the infrastructure of the Nationwide Conference club.

He made the promise during the Annual General Meeting at Hilton Park on Monday evening. However, re-iterating the clubs' status as a part-time outfit, he appealed to the supporters to help him in that quest.

He took the opportunity to explain the constitution of the football clubs' management committee to the thirty-plus who attended, and welcomed those to become new recruits to the private members club that is Leigh RMI.

Likewise, supporters took the opportunity to ask questions of board members present concerning the aspects of communication within the club ranging from notices in the club programme to away coaches.

Manager Steve Waywell was also at the meeting to participate in a general forum about club performance, and in recognition of his success in the clubs' first chapter of Conference life, the supporters forwarded their official thanks and congratulations.

The chairman stated that the club has 'grown quicker in footballing terms than the infrastructure of the club is ready to cope with', and he asserted the need to address those problems by calling another meeting at the same venue on Monday, February 26 at 7:30pm when the supporters will have the opportunity to put forward any fund-raising or communication-boosting ideas to the board.

In addition, he thanked the supporters of Leigh RMI for their attendance, and looked forward to a healthy future after the enthusiasm that was shown.

The Lancaster City Marsden Cup game was postponed On Tuesday with no date as yet re-arranged. The Hereford United FA Umbro Trophy replay tie will take place next Wednesday in the event of a postponement on Monday.
