VOLUNTARY groups for young people from villages and towns around Leigh could be entitled for grants of up to a thousand pounds.
Cash is available for children and young people's groups which provide skills training or personal social education programmes for young people aged 14 to 26.
Organisation which are aimed at improving the health of children, from birth to 14 could also be eligible for grants.
The applications from groups in the Golborne, Lightshaw, Hope Carr, Hindley, Atherton or Hagfold areas will be considered.
Grants from the single regeneration budget rounds three and four range from £500 to £1,000.
Only one application per group is allowed.
