OLYMPIC gold and silver medallist Jason Queally is out of hospital after coming off his bike in America.

The Chorley cyclist was warm-weather training in Florida when he hit a rut on the road, suffering stitches above his eye and slight concussion.

Queally is due to return to England on Sunday, ready to collect his MBE following his heroics in Sydney where he raced to a gold medal in the 1km time trial and picked up second place for the pursuit.

"He is okay and is out of hospital now. He's just got stitches and slight concussion. He should be back in England after the weekend," said his agent Chris Murray.
