Ladies 1st XI 3 Springfields 2nd XI 1 LYTHAM were slow to get into gear but settled down to play some good hockey with the defence denying Springfields any real scoring chances.
Amy Leach and Jenny Reid made some good clearances, one of which led to a quick attack which enabled Heidi White to score with a quick reverse stick shot. Good passing between Ruth Blackburn and Gill Harrison lead to a second goal by Kim Sharples. In the second half Lytham's defence were again under pressure but a great run and goal by Kerry Hunt made it 3-0. Springfields scored but a workmanlike Lytham performance ensured victory.
The Ladies 2nd XI lost 9-2 to Southport 1st XI while the 3rd XI lost 6-1 to Lancaster 5ths.
