COMING back from Llandudno recently, on a five or six-mile stretch around the village of Holywell, I passed three foxes apparently dead at the side of the roads, with roughly a mile between each one.

Then, in the middle of the road I saw a big dog fox that had been run over.

I doubt whether your nature-writer, Ron Freethy, has ever come across this phenomenon in all his travels.

It doesn't need a Sherlock Holmes to to deduce they were all from the same family, but if they were all run over by cars, why?

Is this the future of hunting now that dogs and horse-riders look like being abolished. Puzzling, isn't it?
