BLACKBURN boss Graeme Souness today insisted Rovers can cope with any potential fixture pile-up as his squad prepare for tomorrow's FA Cup clash with Bolton at Ewood.

With both sides currently locked in a battle for promotion at the top of the First Division, the winners of tomorrow night's fifth round replay face potential fixture chaos during the title run-in.

But Souness today blasted talk that he will field a 'reserve' side.

And he has issued a call to arms, insisting his team would relish the prospect of a quarter-final clash with Arsenal at Highbury on Saturday -- the prize awaiting tomorrow's winners. "The next game is always the priority and we owe it to our supporters to try and win every match we play in," said Souness.

"Obviously, for me, the directors, the fans and anyone else interested in Blackburn Rovers, a return to the Premiership is our main priority.

"But when you are involved in the latter stages of the FA Cup this is a serious cup competition.

"And we are not even thinking about possible fixture pile-ups.

"This is a game we want to win -- it's as simple as that.

"Who wouldn't want to go to Highbury on Saturday to play in front of a full house in the last eight of a major cup competition? That's the kind of stage we are desperate to play on. If you look back over the season, some of our best results have come when we've had to play back-to-back rather than when we've had time to rest.

"We've got young players with young legs and what you saw in the second half of the League game at Bolton was typical of what we've got at this club.

"We're a very professional set-up on the medical side in terms of the fact we've got great facilities, our own dietician and the best physio in the country.

"And we feel that kind of back-up will help to stand us in good stead at such a busy time of the season."

Souness is contemplating making the odd change to the team which started against West Brom on Saturday, with Garry Flitcroft now back after suspension and Stig Bjornebye in contention after injury.

But he has vowed not to rest a raft of key men as he chases honours on two fronts.

"I'm still undecided on a couple of positions but I won't be making wholesale changes," said Souness.

Meanwhile, Eyal Berkovic is hoping to keep his place in the starting line-up following his impressive home debut against West Brom at the weekend.

"Every footballer wants to play in the first team just the same as me," said Berkovic.

"And I'm very happy to be playing again here after what happened at Celtic.

"There's a very good atmosphere in the team and I hope that continues.

"I like to play football -- this is my life.

"I'm still short of fitness. Saturday was the first time I've played 90 minutes in nearly six months.

"So that's a long time but I'm getting better from game to game."

Rovers supporters club will give a full refund to those fans who have paid for transport to Birmingham.

The club yesterday announced they are now putting on a fleet of free coaches for next week's game at St Andrews.
