THANK you for the publicity we received for the Lower Darwen Motive Power Department's reunion on February 15 at Ewood Working Mens Club, Blackburn.
More than 100 former workmates, some of whom had not met for 35 years, since the department closed, swapped tales, went over past times and generally had a good evening.
It was with great satisfaction that after so many years, we were able to contact so many colleagues and we have been asked to have another do, but not to wait another 35 years. If possible we would wish this to be an annual event.
