READERS at Unsworth library will be the smartest in the borough if they attend a health and beauty day next Monday (Mar 12).
Library staff have linked up with students from Bury College who will carry out basic facials, manicures and make-up from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Councillor Siobhan Costello, arts and culture spokesman, said: "For library-goers who not only fancy picking up a good book but also being pampered in the process, this is a day not to be missed."
Places must be booked, either at the library, or by phone on 253 7560.
