GARRY Flitcroft today warned Arsenal not to expect an easy ride after Rovers booked an FA Cup quarter final showdown with the Gunners last night.

Flitcroft exacted revenge for his sending off at the Reebok a fortnight ago by scoring Blackburn's opener in their 3-0 fifth round replay demolition of Bolton at Ewood last night.

And the skipper now believes Graeme Souness's Cup kings have what it takes to come back from Highbury with a result at the weekend.

"It's going to be a great day for us but we won't be going down there with any thoughts of getting beat," said Flitcroft.

"The players know we can get results and we'll be looking to get one down there.

"I've been here three or four years and this is probably the best I've ever seen team spirit at the club.

"The manager has got a great set of lads together, we all work hard and we're playing with a lot of confidence at the minute because we're winning games.

"So who knows what can happen now we've got to this stage of the FA Cup?"

Souness was delighted with the way his side booked their place in the last eight just 13 days after beating Wanderers 4-1 in the League.

And he is relishing the prospect of a trip to Highbury on Saturday with the prize of a semi final place awaiting the winners.

"It's a monster game for us and we want to win it," said Souness.

"It's the sixth round of the FA Cup, we're going to be going to one of the nicest stadia in the country, to play against the second best team in the country in my opinion.

"It's the worst possible draw we could have got but we'll go there and enjoy it.

"And, being the FA Cup, anything can happen. You certainly don't get this far and don't try to win games -- just as long as our supporters understand the most important thing is we get out of this league."

Flitcroft laid the foundations for Rovers' victory with the opener on 55 minutes and two goals from Craig Hignett finally finished Wanderers off.

"Bolton are a stodgy team who dig in and get results," said Souness.

"But on the occasions we've played them, we've shown we've got better quality and that's why we won this game.

"They worked hard to try and stop us playing like West Brom did on Saturday but towards the end of the first half I felt we started to make inroads.

"And I felt we won quite comfortably in the end."

Hignett had special reasons to celebrate after a season of personal frustration.

"I've had a tough time to be fair with the injury and what not.

"So I was just glad to have got a game, even if I was playing right wing back.

"But, with the squad we've got, I'll play anywhere to get into the team.

"And it was nice to get a goal from open play because the rest have come from set-pieces this season."

Now Rovers face the possibility of a fixture backlog during the promotion run-in with Sunday's scheduled clash against Preston North End already set to be pencilled in later in the season.

But Souness insists Rovers have the resources to cope. "Having to play games back-to-back isn't a problem as long as you train properly and look after yourself," said Souness.

"If we were to draw on Saturday then the problems would start. But for now, we'll just get on with it."

Meanwhile, David Dunn should be back in contention for the trip to Highbury after missing last night's game with a toe injury.

"Dunny's had a sore toe for a couple of weeks now which has prevented him from training properly so we took the opportunity to rest him," said Souness. "And we decided to rest both John Curtis and Henning Berg as well, which was a nice luxury to have."
