CARL Fogarty aims to be back on the World Superbike scene next season -- as boss of his own team.

The four times World Champion has been involved in talks with the championship owners as the start of the season got underway in Valencia at the weekend.

"We have already set up a company called Team Foggy Racing and we're considering a number of sponsorship options," said the 34-year-old who retired from racing last season after breaking his arm in three places.

"Everything is up and running. The rest of the teams had better make the most of this season because I'm going to be back next year and, as with anything I've done, I intend to win.

"I always know that I won't just be able to sit and watch the other riders. I need to be pulling the strings and getting involved in everything. Being a team manager will allow me to be back that winning feeling."

The championship owners are desperate for a big name like Fogarty to get involved as they come increasingly under threat from the 500cc grand prix series, which has changed its ruled to allow four stroke bikes to compete.
