POLICE are appealing for help in finding a confused and elderly man who disappeared from a nursing home.
Jack Hawthornthwaite, 70, was last seen at Highfield Residential Home, Suddell Road, Darwen, at 1am today and is believed to have wandered out alone.
A police spokesman said they had no idea how much money he had when he left and he could be anywhere in Lancashire.
He suffers from emphysema and may be struggling to breathe.
He has a pale complexion, with brown eyes and thinning grey hair. He was wearing a blue jacket, white t-shirt, navy bottoms and slippers.
