A TELEVISION company is asking people of Leigh for fond and funny memories of the 1950s and 60s for a new series looking at the changing lifestyle of society.
During the two decades that gave us the arrival of the television and saw the housewife as a domestic goddess we also experienced the dizzy heights of the mini skirt and the tower block.
From rationing in the 1950s to rebellion in the 1960s, those who can remember the best and worst aspects of living during this time are asked to write to: Nick Maddocks, Testimony films, 12 Great George St, Bristol, BS1 5RS.
