ESTATE mums-to-be are expecting to benefit from the launch of a new ante-natal clinic. The satellite clinic will be based at Higher Folds Community Centre and cater for women regardless of who or where their GPs are based.
It will be open every Thursday between 1.30pm-2.30pm.
The service has been opened following consultation with the local community, Wigan and Leigh Health Services Trust and Leigh Primary Care Group.
It has been set up to provide an easy and accessible service for pregnant women who may find it difficult to travel to their own GP surgeries or anti-natal clinics. Further information is available by ringing 01942 679363 on Monday to Friday 8.30am-10am and 1pm to 2pm.
