LANCASHIRE'S batsmen continued their fine form to cruise to a 62 run win over The South Western Districts on their pre-season tour of South Africa at Oudtshoorn.

Batting first, Lancashire lost Mark Chilton -- run out for the second time in three innings -- and Tim Roberts cheaply.

But they recovered well with Graham Lloyd punishing the SWD attack.

Lloyd was particularly severe on the spinners, and once Joe Scuderi joined in the show a big total looked on the cards.

Both batters in the end were left unbeaten short of personal milestones -- Lloyd hit 95 and Scuderi fell just three short of his half century with the total on 200-3 after their 45 overs.

Peter Martin returned to the bowling attack after a back injury and combined well with Glen Chapple to keep the pressure on the SWD batsman from the start.

Captain Warren Hegg again rotated his bowlers well with batters Ryan Driver and Chilton supporting Gary Yates, Scuderi and Matthew Wood.

The SWD batters never really looked like coming close to Lancashire's total despite some big hitting from the middle order.

With the two overs to go and the game vitually in the bag, Hegg turned to Graham Lloyd to clean up the tail end and he picked up a wicket with his second ball. Hegg not to be undone, removed the wicketkeeping attire and bowled the last over picking up two wickets with SWD finishing on 138-9.
