WORDS can't describe the mindless thugs who tried to derail a train at Hag Fold, Atherton, on Friday.
What were they trying to prove? Thankfully only one passenger needed treatment for whiplash injuries after the early morning service, travelling at 60mph from Manchester Airport to Blackpool, smashed in to a 16ft rail which had been placed across the tracks. Someone, somewhere knows who's responsible for this lunacy, and if they had any sense they'd blow the whistle on the culprits.
