ORGANISERS of a girls' school charity day will have an extra month to prepare, as the event has been postponed.
The charity meena bazaar at Nelson Civic Theatre was due to be held on Tuesday but will now go ahead on Sunday April 29.
The Ghausia Girls High School, in Cross Street, is hoping to raise £12,000 towards improving its school resources, including textile materials and a library, and hope the bazaar, which is just for women, will go some way towards the target.
It will take place between 2pm and 7.30pm and will feature poetry and naath competitions, food from different cultures, and henna and face painting.
