GORILLAZ: Clint Eastwood, (Parlophone) - It's impossible not to love the turbo boosted cartoon characters of Gorillaz. And with the lazy reagar feel of Damon Albarn's keyboards, it's a tune that brings the summer into focus. But with a whole host of musicians guesting on the project, my only worry is just how well the album will sit together (9/10). CL

CRAZY TOWN: Butterfly, (Columbia) - A simple rap track with a love thing running throughout. But it's the nice little guitar lick that really sets this effort apart from much of the hard-core hip-hp out there (8/10). CL

I AM KLOOT: Natural History, (We Love You/Wall of Sound) - I Am Kloot are the under stated members of the Manchester New Acoustic Movement. As Alfie have courted the media praise, Kloot frontman Johnny Bramwell, has quietly created a brand of northen swing that's pushed his band to the forefront of this trendy scene. Although the beauty of the crystal clear music masks some razor sharp obsevations. From the opening bars through the dry sweeping, Morning Rain, right down to the Jazz influenced classic,Twist, Natural History is sheer quality. And I doubt we'll see a better album all year (10/10).
