FORTY youngsters aged four to seven were VIPs for a special screening of The Emperor's New Groove at Apollo Nine at Hollywood Park, Burnley.

Manager Andy Smith used to be a governor at Healey Wood Infants school and offered the school a special viewing.

Deputy head Lucy Wright said: "There were 40 children and eight staff and they all thought it was wonderful, or groovy I suppose!

"It was nice for us to be able to let them see the moral aspect to the film about good opposed to evil. Afterwards some wrote thank-you letters, some drew pictures and some wrote a bit of the story.

"It was a good exercise in literacy skills and also in socialising."
