HOLKER OLD BOYS 2 COLNE 1

IT WAS very much a case of unlucky 13 for Colne on Saturday.

John Lister's side have now lost precisely that number of NWCL Division Two games in succession -- and that after taking the lead!

Colne found themselves in such an unusual position courtesy of an own goal in the 32nd minute.

But Mark Rynas equalised on the hour and free scoring Carl Waters killed Colne with a cruel last-minute winner.

It means Colne stay second bottom with only 10 points to show from 28 games played.

Bottom club Oldham have five games in hand and are just six points behind while third from bottom Ashton have a two-point advantage with four games in hand.

Colne have a tough week ahead, with a home game against Bootle, who defeated Darwen on Saturday, this Wednesday evening and a home game against fellow strugglers Oldham Town -- who are bottom of the league -- in a must-win game on Saturday.
