THE Shakers will be hoping for another big crowd tonight when promotion chasing Stoke City visit Gigg Lane.

Andy Preece is looking for his side to bounce straight back following their disappointing 1-0 reverse at Bournemouth on Saturday.

"We started off well but lost our discipline after we went a goal behind," he said.

"Having said that we had some very good chances that I'd have expected us to put away.

"But the Stoke game is an ideal one to bounce back in. Hopefully it will be like the Millwall match and our fans will really get behind us again.

"We did well down there on Boxing Day so won't be worried about them and even including Saturday's result we have still lost only two games in eleven and should still be full of confidence."

Central defender Sam Collins is still struggling with an achilles injury and Lutel James is doubtful with flu symptoms while long-term casualties Matt Barrass and Lee Unsworth are both out of the frame.

A home victory over the Potters is well overdue with the last success a 2-1 triumph back in the 1962/63 season thanks to goals from George Jones and Tony Bartley.
