A MILLION pound furniture store is to be built at Blackburn's flagship retail park, the Peel Centre, at Whitebirk, creating at least 15 jobs.
Sunderland-based ScS has commissioned a state-of-the-art building to provide 10,000 sq ft of retail space.
MD David Knight said the Blackburn store, scheduled to open in August, was one of five additions to the group this year.
"We have been looking to open in the region for a long time, but it was important that we found the right site," he said.
The Blackburn store will be the 36th to be opened by the company, which employs more than 600 people in the UK.
