LIKE Dawn Coker (LET, March 19) we, too, have just returned from Tenerife and were also asked at the UK check-in desk if we were carrying any meat or dairy products which, rightly so, must not be taken out of the UK in the current foot and mouth crisis.
Does Ms Coker not realise that Formula milk is modified cow's milk and, therefore, classed as dairy produce?
As for her comment about not having taken her driving licence and being, therefore, unable to go to a supermarket in another resort, did she not notice there are buses and taxis in Tenerife?
While she was a little inconvenienced by the infection control measures, how would the people of Tenerife feel if her wants had resulted in an outbreak of foot and mouth on their island?
