BURNLEY MP Peter Pike took part in a blindfold obstacle walk with a guide dog around an obstacle course to back a campaign to give guide dog owners access to minicabs.
The event at the House of Commons was organised by the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association to highlight their Access For All campaign.
Chief executive Geraldine Peacock, said: "We are delighted Mr Pike attended and found out more about the campaign and work of the charity.
"Guide dog owners and other visually impaired people rely more than most on reliable and accessible taxi and private hire services to help them get around.
"Whilst many taxi drivers and private hire operators have offered guide dog owners an excellent service others have refused to carry guide dogs, leaving their owners stranded and humiliated."
Mr Pike said he was pleased to pledge his support to the campaign.
