THE father of five-week-old twins has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm after his injured children were taken to hospital.
Paul Harrison, 22, was due to appear on the charge before Blackburn magistrates today.
The children's mother, Joanne Watkins, 24, was also due to appear charged with two counts of child neglect.
The parents, of Francis Street, Blackburn, were arrested after twins Dillon and Chantelle were taken to hospital on Saturday evening after an ambulance was called to the family home.
Dillon remained in a critical condition today on a life support machine in the intensive care unit at Pendlebury Children's Hospital in Manchester.
Chantelle was today in a stable condition in the children's ward at Queen's Park Hospital in Blackburn.
