DANCERS helped raise more than £1,600 for charity with a Dancerama at King George's Hall, Blackburn.

More than 250 dancers, from tots to adults, from the Pat Eakets School of Dance, Blackburn, entertained audiences over four performances to raise money for three local charities.

The cash will be divided between the NSPCC, the Mayor's charity, and Derian House, children's hospice, Chorley.

Judith Heys, of the NSPCC said: " I would like to thank everyone involved and those who came to watch the performance. It was wonderful."

Several raffle prizes are still unclaimed.

Winning tickets are: from Friday: beige 285 and 111, and pink 80.

From Saturday afternoon: yellow 304 and blue 121. From Saturday night: pink 468 and yellow 414, and Sunday afternoon: blue 489, orange 637 and 620.
