WESTLIFE'S number one fan was over the moon after the band dedicated a song to her in front of thousands of cheering supporters.

Lillian Sleigh, 60, of Wensley Fold, Blackburn, could not believe her ears when she got a special mention after a meet and greet session with the Irish chart toppers at the MEN Arena.

She went along to meet the band and present Bryan McFadden and his bride-to-be, Kerry Katona, formerly of girl band Atomic Kitten with a handmade wedding present. Bryan was so impressed he dubbed Lillian their number one fan.

Wheelchair bound Lillian couldn't believe her ears when band member Nicky decided to dedicate 'My Love' to 'their very special fan Lillian'.

And the pensioner was so taken aback by the events that evening that she got on the phone to Wembley to try and fulfil her final ambition of watching the boys complete their tour.

On hearing the concert was a sell out, she is appealing to anyone going to the concert at the Birmingham NEC on Thursday, April 19 to see if they could bring her home.

In a plea to other Westlife fans she said: "I couldn't believe it when I heard Wembley was a sell out. I really want to see them finish their tour but the last train back from Birmingham is 9.15 and that's too early. I will pay petrol money."
