MY friends and I will wholeheartedly be behind Rovers for the remainder of the season, regardless of what happens on or off the pitch.

But following on from the "top tenner" ticket last season, I feel I must express my dismay at the latest incentive of a fiver for admission anywhere on the ground, not just for one game but for two of Rovers' remaining home fixtures.

Televised matches do make a difference -- there's no doubt about that -- and I know that existing season ticket holders who renew next season will pay the same if Rovers are promoted.

I am not decrying the reason behind the club's decision for one minute. In fact, they must be applauded for implementing what I hope will be a very worthwhile exercise.

However, I and many other season ticket holders who, one could argue, are the life-blood of the club, feel like they've been "kicked in the teeth again" for being loyal supporters and paying "up front" for a season ticket prior to a ball being kicked.

When are season ticket holders going to get a fairer deal? I am wondering what the next inducement to not purchase a season ticket will be.
