BLACKBURN Rovers' assistant boss Tony Parkes reckons the side are so sure of themselves 'they think they are going to win every game between now and the end of the season'.

After 19 wins in the last 28 games it is no surprise that confidence is sky high ahead of tonight's top-of-the-table clash against runaway leaders Fulham.

And mirroring what midfielder Garry Flitcroft has claimed in tonight's Lancashire Evening Telegraph, Parkes says the team are desperate to show they are the best in the league.

"Everyone thinks these two teams are going into the Premiership next season but tonight's game will be a test to see how far we have come.

"Fulham will think they are the best team in the league and with 89 points maybe they deserve to call themselves that.

"I think the team does think it is the best, there is no reason to argue with what Graeme Souness said on Monday about it. We have beaten teams well, we are on a good run.

"In a lot of people's eyes Fulham are the best but we are the form team and we don't see why we can't go into tonight's game and win."

Parkes, one of only a few remaining characters from the Premiership-winning season of 1995, said the feeling in the camp was different to that of six years ago.

"The players are very relaxed, not as tense as they were back then. There is more belief in this squad.

"They were very nervous then, they couldn't get the games played quick enough but that is not happening here. They think they are going to win every game."
