PLANS to convert a three-storey cottage in Newchurch-in-Pendle into a bed and breakfast and tearoom have been thwarted by the council after it was decided it would cause increased parking congestion and would lead to a loss of privacy to neighbours who share a small forecourt.
The applicant proposed the letting of two of the cottage's three bedrooms to bed and breakfast customers and the use of the ground floor rear lounge as a tearoom.
Four letters of objection were submitted by neighbours.
