BORED teenagers at a loose end over the Easter holidays can make the two-week break fly by.

Thanks to a programme of free activities available at the New Era complex and Hyndburn Sports Centre.

The aim of the programme, which is being run by Hyndburn Youth and Community Service and the Youth Justice Board, is to encourage young people to take part in healthy, sporting activities.

Free activities on offer at the sports centre are badminton, roller skating, football, swimming, trampolining, basketball, and aerobics.

And the New Era complex, participants can take advantage of the music studio and gymnasium, as well as the cyber cafe.

The programme started on Monday and runs to April 20, including the Easter bank holiday weekend.

It is open to youngsters aged eight to 18 who live the Church, Central Accrington, and Springhill wards of Hyndburn.
