POURING rain didn't stop clean up volunteers from turning out in Bacup and filling a skip with litter and rubbish.
A dozen residents took part in a Tidy Britain Group Just Bin It clean up, tackling litter hot-spots and brightening up vacant shop fronts in the town centre.
The hard work was in preparation for this weekend's Easter Weekend Festival when a host of events have been organised to coincide with the Britannia Coconutters traditional dance.
The clean up followed the route of the Heritage Trail walk which is scheduled for Saturday afternoon. The green volunteers also collected cans and bottles separately for recycling.
