FOR the first time in 28 years a cycling event is being included in Ramsbottom Sports Week.
On June 16 Bury Clarion Cycling and Athletic Club is holding a climb up Lumb Carr Road from Holcombe Brook to Holcombe Village.
The individual time trial will see riders setting off at one minute intervals on the 1km course. Registration will be on the day from 9.30am for a £1 fee.
There is no upper age limit but anyone aged 12 to 18 must have a signed parental consent form.
The Holcombe two tower fell race, is still in doubt because of the foot and mouth crisis, but if it is cancelled organisers will arrange an alternative event for runners in addition there is a six mile road race at Woodhey High School.
Sports week activities including swimming, cricket, badminton, pool, darts and football.
