A MIDDLE -aged man who sexually abused a little girl, is awaiting sentence at Burnley Crown Court.
John Michael Hyslop was found guilty of three allegations of indecent assault and three of indecency with a child by a jury after a two-day trial.
He was bailed until 18 May, for a pre-sentence report.
The defendant, of Ridgeway, Barrowford, had denied the charges. Judge David Pirie had earlier discharged the panel from returning verdicts on another six indecency allegations.
The victim had told the court how Hyslop had made her touch his private parts, kissed her and committed sex acts on her whilst his wife was at work.
She had sobbed as she was interviewed by a specially trained police officer and said she had not told the defendant to stop his behaviour because she had been told by her parents not to give cheek to her elders.
