A MAN accused of wounding after his five-week-old twins were injured at their home has been charged with three further offences.
Paul Harrison, 22, had previously been charged with wounding his son Dillon and was remanded into custody when he appeared before Blackburn magistrates yesterday.
Following that appearance he was charged with grievous bodily harm on daughter Chantelle and two further charges of neglect and will appear before the court again today.
The children's mother, Joanne Louise Watkins, 24, has also been charged with neglect and was remanded on bail until a further appearance today.
The twins were taken to hospital with serious injuries after an ambulance was called ot their home in Francis Street, Blackburn, on Saturday.
They were both stable and comfortable in hospital, a police spokesman said yesterday.
Dillon is now off a ventilator and is breathing unaided although he remains in intensive care at Pendlebury Children's Hospital.
Chantelle is said to be comfortable at Queen's Park Hospital, Blackburn.
