OLDHAM TOWN 2 NELSON 2
NELSON had to settle for a point against bottom of the table Oldham Town after throwing away a two goal lead at the Whitebank Stadium in the NWCL Second Division.
Kiko Rodriguez gave the League leaders the perfect start after 10 minutes when he opened the scoring. Nelson increased their lead on the half hour when Mick Charlton provided the cross for Jonathan Irvine to head powerfully home.
Things began to go wrong on the stroke of half time when Alex Dodds was brought down in the Blues penalty area and Sam Brown converted the spot kick.
With the second half 15 minutes old the referee awarded Oldham their second penalty. Sam Brown again fired home from the spot to level the scores.
