RAMSBOTTOM UTD 6 MAINE ROAD 1
BOLTON referee Lee Mason made two pitch inspections before deciding the game could go ahead.
The decision turned out to be a good one for the NWCL Division One title chasers as they hit the Manchester side for six.
They were a goal in front after just five minutes, Danny Goodall scoring at the back post.
The Rams went two in front on 26 minutes when Darren Bowman headed home and Chris Willcock made it three seven minutes later.
It was 4-0 on 56 minutes when Goodall fired home from 25 yards.
Ace marksman Russell reduced Maine Road's arrears on 64 minutes but within five minutes Ramsbottom restored their four goal advantage with a solo effort from Chris Brookes.
Substitute Mark Heyes hammered in number six in the final minute.
