PRESTON manager David Moyes admitted his play-off chasing are feeling the pressure after more than five hours without a goal.

North End only came close just once to breaking the deadlock against relegation-threatened Huddersfield but Terriers keeper Nico Vaesen pulled off a one-handed save to deny on-loan striker Richard Cresswell.

"We have not scored in the last three games and you can see that in our play," admitted the boss.

"We did not even make that many chances, but to be fair neither did they.

"We just need to tighten up a bit.

"We are going through a spell where we just can't score goals but we are not concerned about anything else.

"We just need a break, a goal toe-poked home or something like that."

The draw keeps North End in the final play-off place but, with Nottingham Forest and Barnsley in the next two games, the Preston boss would still not be drawn on the play-offs.

"Another point keeps us in sixth place and if you had said at the start of the season that with three Saturday's left, we'd be sixth, we'd have settled for that.

"At this time of the season games are hard to win so we are happy to pick up a point.

"We will probably be in a better position to see if we have a chance after Easter, it would be ludicrous to talk about it now."

North End started with top scorer Jon Macken on the bench and Cresswell and David Healy up front and both could have made an early impact.

Cresswell's fourth minute header was straight at the Belgium keeper while Healy's cross skimmed across the face of the goal but Huddersfield's Andy Booth was first to slide in. He paid the price, substituted with a bruised shin after crashing against the crossbar.

But that was it really as Terriers defence, marshalled by former Bury skipper Chris Lucketti, held firm.

And althouth Dean Gorre and Delroy Facey looked lively for the Terriers, Preston keeper David Lucas was hardly troubled.

"We've got another point and that helps us," said Town boss Lou Macari. "We have now got Fulham on Saturday and Blackburn on Monday, the best side in the division and the second-best, so a point here was important."
