Bobby Haig's All Stars 8 Steve Moria's Select 9

BLACKBURN Hawks hero Steve Moria made a triumphant return to the Arena as he led his Select side to victory against Bobby Haig's All Stars.

Legend Moria and his men won a thrilling clash 9-8 in front of a bumper crowd of more than 800 spectators.

And the home-coming hero didn't disappoint his fans with a super show which included one goal and three assists.

Also making an emotional return were Gary Shearman, the Hawks first ever captain, Bernie Snagg and net minder Paul Hannant -- keeping goal for the first time in five years!

Hull's Ron Shudra guested for Haig's side while Manchester Storm's assistant coach Daryl Lipsey had a run out for Moria's men.

The All Stars raced to a 3-1 lead before Moria lead a fightback to level the game at 6-6 by the end of the second period.

That set up a thrilling climax which Moria's men won 9-8 -- despite Haig's side given a sympathy goal by referee Les Highway.

It was the culmination to a night of celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of the Hawks -- and both sets of players feasted on meals supplied by Tiggis Restaurant.
