A JUNIOR football club has been inundated with offers of help after a building containing training equipment was vandalised and ransacked.
Clubs from across the area have come to the aid of JFC Dynamos so that they can now complete their mini soccer league fixtures.
Goal posts, footballs, boots and training equipment were stolen from a building at Bank Hey School in Blackburn, as reported in last week's Sport Extra.
Committee member Andy Foulds said: "Following the article, we were inundated with offers of help with the loan of equipment -- namely from Blackburn Boys, Knuzden Youth, Ighton Leigh and Wilpshire Wanderers.
"Jimmy Woods from Woods Construction in Blackburn carried out repair work to secure the building free of charge.
"The club also received information which led to the recovery of one of the goal posts but it was damaged, so unsafe to use."
He added: "The speed at which the offers of help came in was unbelievable, and will allow the club to fulfil its mini soccer fixtures.
"We would like to thank everybody who contacted us, via Sport Extra who highlighting the club's plight."
