WHALLEY: A young man seriously hurt in an accident when his car crashed into a tree has died in hospital.
Neil Heywood, 23, of Limefield Avenue, Whalley, received multiple head and internal injuries when his Vauxhall Nova came off the road in Whalley Old Road, Billington.
As the car turned over and crashed into a tree, Mr Heywood was thrown from the vehicle. A passing doctor raised the alarm and Mr Heywood was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where he died this morning.
