WELL, by gum! I've really upset James Sorah, haven't I (Letters, March 29). And why? Well, in fact, I've dared to criticise those in the town hall for whom Mr Sorah acts as chief cheer leader. I accused them of being irresponsible in jeopardising the school bus service.

Mr Sorah enlightens us to his claim that the council's threatened withdrawal of those essential services isn't their fault at all. According to him it's all the fault of an Act of Parliament which goes back to 1985. He fails to tell us all just why the bus service has been able to carry on for the last 15 years. What a feeble excuse!

So what's behind it all? Again Mr Sorah condemns himself by telling us that, "when a problem does arise (Labour) councillors are often the last people to be informed."

So there we have it. The only ones who remain clueless are those bright spark Labour councillors whom he seeks to protect. It's their job to know, Mr Sorah. They make decisions which affect the lives of so many. The council says the school buses will be scrapped after July. What then Mr Sorah? Do tell us.
