WITH North End gunning for a place in the end of season play-offs the club has made a plea for Preston fans to turn up the volume to help the team in the remaining home matches of the season.

In a bid to create an intimidating atmosphere at Deepdale it has been decided by a meeting of fans, club officials and supporters' groups that there will be a special theme for each home match until the end of the season.

The themes for the home fixtures are as follows:

On Saturday (April 14) against Nottingham Forest the theme is 'Forest of Flags'. All home fans are asked to bring flags and wave them to create a "forest of flags".

On Sunday April 22, for North End's match against Watford (kick-off 1pm), the theme is White Out Watford. All fans are asked to wear white tops to "white" Watford out of the play-off equation

On Wednesday May 2, at 7.45pm, it's the local derby against Blackburn Rovers. And the theme for this match is Louder and Prouder with supporters urged by the club to "create some noise, sing your hearts out and show our neighbours that we are 'louder and prouder' than they are." And finally for the final game of the season on Sunday May 6 (kick-off 1.30 pm) for the visit of West Bromwich Albion it will be David Moyes Day.

For this day which is always a special occasion the club is asking fans to don a kilt and wear a ginger wig to bring out the Scot in you! A spokesman for North End explained: "We want the fans to dress up as David Moyes and show the 'gaffer' that whether we finish third or tenth place we are behind him 100 per cent and are proud of what the lads have achieved this season.

"It is a chance for fans to do their bit for the final countdown!"

The Preston North End commercial department is also looking for local businesses to sponsor these matches with prices starting from £50 and anybody interested in doing so should contact PNE commercial manager Ross McWilliam on 07771 916788.
