HOT-SHOT striker Matt Jansen today insisted it's vital Rovers bounce back as quickly as possible following Wednesday night's heartbreaking defeat against table-topping Fulham.

Tomorrow's clash with Stockport County at Edgeley Park is the first of two games in three days against struggling sides with Huddersfield next up at Ewood on Monday.

And Jansen is adamant Rovers must take maximum advantage as they look to widen the gap between them and third-placed Bolton.

"We have got to bounce back from the Fulham defeat, " said the 23-year-old starlet.

"If we win tomorrow we'll still be ahead of Bolton with the same number of games left so we have got to be ready.

"It just wasn 't our night against Fulham, but the gaffer is trying to keep us positive.

"We were disappointed, but sometimes that's how football goes and we are still in control of that second spot and we have got take heart from that.

"If we can keep winning from now until the end of the season then we are up and we have to concentrate on trying to do that.

"These next two games are going to be a battle though.

"They are going to be difficult games with both of them scrapping for points.

"Stockport's crowd will get behind them tomorrow, but if we play how we know we can then we can get the three points.

"The games are coming thick and fast and it's Huddersfield after that, but hopefully we can get the win in that too."
