ODDIES, the Nelson-based bakers are producing a "Burndle the Lottery Bear" biscuit to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the Burnley and Pendle Hospice Lottery.

The lottery, run by Hospice Care for Burnley and Pendle, had its first draw on Friday, May 12 last year.

Over 3,400 members were entered draw one. The draw 12 months on is expected to involve 6,300 members.

Lottery manager Harry Grayson said support had been tremendous with 70p out of every pound going to hospice funds bringing income of £150,000.

He added: "We now move into our phase two with a target of 8,500 members by the end of the year.

The biscuits will be available at Oddies outlets from Monday, April 23 until Saturday, May 5.

Oddies will make a donation of 10p for every biscuit sold.
