THE search is on for Pendle's cool nans and groovy grandads to take part in a talent competition at Colne Municipal Hall next month.
The Silver Stars Talent Contest, sponsored by Yours magazine, has been running for 25 years and on Tuesday, May 1, anyone over 60 will be given the opportunity to show of their skills whether it be singing, dancing or juggling.
Hundreds of pensioners are expected to take to the stage in Colne which is one of 50 local heats throughout the country.
Each entrant will be presented with a commemorative certificate and other senior citizens are being encouraged to go along and cheer on their friends.
The winner of the Colne heat will go on to the area final in Southport on June 6 and the area final winner will join 14 other acts at the Grand UK Final in July.
The overall Silver Star will receive £1,000 and a silver trophy with other contestants sharing a prize fund of £16,000.
