AN open invitation has been issued to a coffee morning in the Mayor's Parlour, at Clitheroe tomorrow.
The event has been organised by Clitheroe Garden Club, which this year has decided to give the proceeds to the Ribble Valley branch of the Friends of Chernobyl's Children.
There will be the chance to buy cakes and plants.
The gardening club holds meetings on the first Wednesday of each month in the drama complex at Ribblesdale High School Technology College. Membership is open to anyone living within or just outside the Ribble Valley.
Membership allows access to the sales hut where compost and other gardening goods are available. Call Bill or Iris Gregson on 01200 425482.
