A SHOWROOM in Prestwich has scooped a coveted national award just four months after opening its doors for business.

Kitchen specialist Stuart Frazer's Prestwich designer kitchen showroom was presented with the award by Bathroom and Kitchen Magazine for its new flagship store in Bury New Road.

Diane Berry, Prestwich branch manager and kitchen designer, accepted the top award from TV celebrity Eamonn Holmes at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Explaining what the prize means to Stuart Frazer, she said: "We are delighted to have been awarded this accolade as the new showroom is the result of many months of extensive planning and design work.

"Since we opened the showroom in September, the number of inquiries we have had has been phenomenal."

She added: "We work very closely as a team to design our kitchen showrooms to ensure that clients get a feel for consistently high standards and the success of our attention to detail has certainly paid off."

Competition extended throughout the UK as leading kitchen retailers submitted extensive details and photographs of showrooms. Elements such as the design of the exterior, interior and individual displays were taken into consideration as well as whether the showroom was an effective part of the retailers' marketing campaign.

Judges then visited the most innovative showrooms to give them a final scoring.

The Prestwich branch of Stuart Frazer, which is one of four within the group of the same name, has a total of eight full working kitchen displays and a state-of-the-art cookery demonstration area which is used to hold evening events hosted by the region's leading professional chefs.

Stuart Frazer has been designing and installing kitchens for the past 26 years.

With four showrooms in Prestwich, Rochdale, Accrington and Preston, the kitchen specialist's reputation for service and quality has positioned it as one of the leading kitchen retailers in the country.
